Our Merchants blend deodorant is based on the story of the thieves blend which was recorded during the black plague in england that lasted for almost 300 years ending in 1750. This historic scent is a 5 oil blend that that was documented in the royal English archives. Merchant thieves once used to repel illness during the Black Plague epidemic, wearing this to keep illness at bay while they looted the homes of the deceased. The blend of clove, lemongrass, cinnamon leaf, eucalyptus, and rosemary has a sweet spiced scent. This scent is used in both our compostable plant based deodorant and the bars of activated charcoal soap.

These deodorants made naturally with usda certified organic coconut oils, organic shea butter, organic beeswax, and essential oils. (basically 100% plant based) they are poured by hand into recycled paper tubes which eliminated plastic from the waste stream as well as addressing the risks of chemical contaminates that synthetic plastic containers leach.

Choose a scent our natural, organic and safe deodorant. This stuff is effective at deodorizing and fragrance free. The goal of natural deodorants is not to block the skins ability to expel toxins through sweat, but to absorb the moisture and control the odor causing bacteria.

This simple deodorant is made with all food grade Organic ingredients, Organic coconut oil, Organic shea butter, antibacterial organic beeswax, and organic arrowroot powder as well as aluminum free baking soda. It comes in a biodegradable eco friendly BPA FREE paper push tube. Do we really need another plastic deodorant container created (or plastic anything)? I and my family rely on this deodorant all summer in the humid maine out doors. It is also valuable in the winter during stretches without running water when we are out at camp. My favorite scent is lavender vanilla. its like flowers and ice cream, although he ingredients are edible the flavor is probably not as delicious as the scent.
